History

Way back in 1999 we launched a website – Lifelounge.com. Apart from establishing it as one of Australia’s very first extreme sport, sub-culture communities, we quickly garnered attention and recognition for its unique style and content from other websites and tastemakers the world over.

In 2003 companies started approaching us to host surveys on Lifelounge.com to gain insights from our audience of “influencers” about the young adult urban market. In response we created the Lifelounge Urban Market Research (UMR) project and have gone on to partner with Sweeney Research in 2010 to run the country’s most in depth look at the urban market.

History

In 2008 Lifelounge formed a joint venture with Fairfax Digital to create a credible youth entertainment portal that connected with the market. TheVine.com.au was the result.

Since then, TheVine has become Australia’s number one player in the online youth and entertainment arena and we have learnt the power and value in aggregating large audiences of hard to reach individuals.

With this knowledge the Lifelounge Media Network was created. Since, PopMag.com.au,Australia’s most respected skate, surf and snow magazine has been welcomed into the fold.  So too have a number of international sites through our exclusive partnership with UK’s Protein Network.
